  36         <p>grml is a Debian-based Live-CD. It includes a collection of GNU/Linux
  37         software especially for users of texttools and system administrators.
  38         grml provides automatic hardware detection. You can use grml for example
  39         as a rescue system, for analyzing systems/networks or as a working
  40         environment. It is not necessary to install anything to a harddisk, you
  41         don't even need a harddisk to run it, unless you want to (use grml2hd
  42         for this). Due to on-the-fly decompression grml includes about 2.1GB
  43         of software and documentation on the CD.</p>

  45         <p>Whereas grml[64] provides about 2.1GB of software on a ~700MB ISO and
  46         grml-small is a flavor with only ~60MB ISO-size, <a
  47           href="/faq/#whatismedium64">grml64-medium</a> tries to close the gap
  48         between those two flavours providing an ISO with ~200MB.  It does not
  49         provide all the software shipped with normal/big/large grml but provides
  50         essential stuff, a full featured kernel and the X.org server.  You can
  51         use the Debian package management system to install software on the fly
  52         (assuming you have network access to a Debian mirror). Take a look at
  53         the '<a href="/files/">Debian-Information'-section</a> if you are
  54         searching for the package list.</p>
